Following discussions with interested members of the fellowship at Lee Mount Baptist Church, a bible study was started in April 2023. The first two books studied were Paul’s letter to the Romans and Peter’s first letter. The PDF resources on this page were produced to support the bible study.
The PDF, Paul, is some extracts from a book called The Life and Letters of St Paul which my father originally wrote in 1962.
In September 2023 the gospel of Matthew became the focus of the bible study. In the course of this study we considered the name of Jesus’ mother who is known to us as Mary but who may have been known to her contemporaries at Maryam.
When looking at the crucifixion, we examined the significance of Jesus’ cry, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’
In Summer 2024 we decided to study Genesis and the Notes on Genesis summarise a few of the points which came up in the course of our study.
